TAMARA NOEMÍ HIDALGO
I enjoy discovering what a place can mean to someone.
I am Tamara Hidalgo. I am sensitive, curious and creative; I enjoy warm conversations and the good humour that helps us feel at ease with someone we have just met.
I like to pay attention to details and discover what might go unnoticed at first glance. Over time, that way of being found a place in my work as a real estate curator and in the creation of Studio Tamara Hidalgo in Cuenca, Ecuador.
LISTENING AND COMMUNICATION
I learned how to connect with people
My story brings together experiences in boutiques, restaurants, hotels, marketing and hospitality settings that welcome international visitors. In each one, I learned something about people: how to express an idea, respond to a concern or make someone feel truly welcome.
During my time in hospitality, people's comments about my kindness and attentiveness helped me recognise qualities I wanted to continue cultivating. I came to understand how much it can mean when someone takes the time to listen to us.
I studied Social Communication, and words remain an essential part of my life. When I describe a property, I want the person reading to understand the space and imagine what it might be like to live there.
A CREATIVE PERSPECTIVE
I have always looked for another possibility
Before entering real estate, I redesigned second-hand clothing. I enjoyed discovering what could be preserved in a garment, how it could be transformed and how many different ways it could be worn again.
Today, I recognise that same curiosity when I enter a property. I pause to consider its history, construction, location and spaces. I ask myself what gives it character and what possibilities might make sense for someone else.
My journey in real estate began in 2023. Since then, I have been bringing that creative perspective together with listening, research and commercial judgement. This is how I understand curation: giving careful attention to a place and to the person who might find something meaningful for their life within it.

THE SWAN OF THE GREEN LAKE
A story that comes from my mother
“The Swan of the Green Lake” was born from a story my mother wrote when she was a child and later shared with me.
To me, the swan represents the beauty that can inhabit a shadowed place and, through its presence, change the way we see it. This image has an intimate meaning: it reminds me that some value is revealed only when we pause and look with sensitivity.
That story also lives within Studio Tamara Hidalgo. It accompanies my desire to recognise possibilities and to care for the way people encounter places.
